The opportunity
Library and Information Services (L&IS) is an innovative, efficient, integrated professional service that offers physical and digital services across library, IT, and business improvement. As part of L&IS, Information Services provides the entire IT infrastructure for the university including networking services such as Wi-Fi, storage services, telephony, IT security, data backups and disaster recovery for all users. Our people are the most important resource and, as a technological department, our development as professionals is vitally important for us to continue to deliver 1st class services. We work very closely across the 3 main services, and support the development of the Universities values and behaviours within our teams. You will contribute to the success of the Student Lifecycle Improvement Project by delivering the change management, adoption of and engagement with new business process and ways of working, to a range of stakeholders across the organisation.
You will report to specific project boards and university Committees and Boards on business analysis activities.
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
What you’ll do – key duties
Support business change and stakeholder engagement for a range of communication and engagement activities centred on the introduction of new business processes and ways of working to manage student administration
Work with a range a teams, from other departments, at all levels across the organisation, to ensure the greatest chance for success of the project.
Matrix managing people and relationships effectively; working in sensitive environments, identifying impacts of change brought about by transformation initiatives.
Lead on communication around changes to the business and engagement activities, to include workshops, newsletters, meetings etc.
Support engagement by undertaking stakeholder analysis, and identifying and delivering engagement activities to a range of delivery partners representing the stakeholder areas.
Ensuring all business change and stakeholder engagement activities and deliverables (including the education, communications and engagement of stakeholders, to ensure business readiness) are delivered on time, to quality and budget across all programmes.
Assist with developing testing sessions, managing a programme of timely and impactful content generation, working with experts across the programme and the partner marketing departments
Identify training needs for all stakeholders, and develop appropriate solutions to support them.
Develop KPI’s around business change and stakeholder engagement, and provide reports against key KPIs
Work with the Business Improvement Services team, and the Project Manager to manage enquiries and support requirements relating to engagement and change management around the project.
What you’ll bring – essential experience & strengths
Practical experience of implementing change and stakeholder management during the implementation of a business change project.
Experience of change and engagement best practice and methodologies.
Experience of delivering projects and/or programmes.
Building productive internal and external relationships and networks.
What you’ll have - essential qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
