The opportunity
Cardiff School of Technologies is based on the Llandaff Campus and was launched in 2018. This new School, which focuses on computer and data science, cyber security, robotics and electronic engineering, already has around 900 students and has developed a thriving research community. Programmes and modules are developed with stakeholders from industry, current research and students, ensuring a rounded curriculum. As the school continues to grow it will build on existing partnerships with industry and add to its existing offering of degree apprenticeships. Working as part of the School Professional Services Team, the post holder will co-ordinate and manage the full range of support activities for the Dean of School and the Senior Management and Planning Team.
The role includes responsibility for the further development and maintenance of an effective monitoring system for all School Plans including the School Strategic Plan and other appropriate projects as determined by the Dean and School Resources and Operations Manager. The post holder will take a lead role in ensuring that the School’s policies and procedures are in line with Cardiff Metropolitan University’s commitment to non-academic quality measures and assessments including Athena Swan, Welsh Language Standards, Sustainability, Equality and Diversity in the Workplace as well as compliance with Health and Safety and GDPR.
