The opportunity
Student Services and Employability puts student success at the heart of everything that we do, from supporting students in their studies to preparing them for the future. The team covers: Wellbeing & Disability, Learning Support, Student Advice, Careers, Placements, Employer Engagement, and GO Wales, supported by the Operations Team. Working in a motivated, friendly and trusting environment we strive to deliver high quality student centric services. We help students at Cardiff Metropolitan University feel supported to succeed and prepared for their next steps.
The key priority of this role will be to support the administration and delivery of Shape Your Future, a new employability skills development framework. The framework aims to ensure all students can develop key employability skills and experience alongside their academic studies. General tasks will include collating information on extra-curricular events and activities, managing a system, creating reports on project engagement and communicating with students and academic staff. You will also be a support to the work placement team with the administration of credit-bearing work placements, providing a professional service to staff, students and external stakeholders equally from end to end.
You will be an enthusiastic and confident professional with excellent attention to detail, along with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
