As a Registry Officer, you will play a key part in providing quality and customer focused services which will enable us to bring an excellent experience to our students. An important part of this role will be managing and maintaining the curriculum on our student record system whilst supporting with system and process orientation. In addition, you’ll support with preparing accurate management and statistical information; analysing data for the production of specialised reports on key issues to support unit and school planning processes.
Some other key activities include:
Deliver curriculum training to Registry Services staff, academic colleagues and other staff as required to ensure efficient data collection
Advise and guide the Schools and Support Units to facilitate compliance with Cardiff Met’s regulations and to exchange and impart information to enhance good practice and compliance in relation to curriculum management.
Respond to queries and requests for verification of students’ qualifications, replacement transcripts and certificates, from both students and external agencies.
What you’ll bring – essential experience & strengths
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our busy team. You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional, with strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
With a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience, you will be able to demonstrate working experience of business information systems with the ability to extract pertinent information from large datasets and documents and present these in a succinct format. You’ll have effective numerical skills and ICT skills including maintaining and updating databases.
A strong ability to relate to customers in a professional manner through the use of inter-personal skills including empathy and sensitivity is important, along with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise well in order to meet deadlines.
