Role Summary:
The major commitment will be to teach and assess undergraduate students in the area of Early Childhood Studies. It is anticipated that the post holders' duties will include being module leader and teaching on areas such as pedagogy and curricula design, the sociology of childhood and safeguarding and child protection. Flexibility to teach across the programme is required.
The post holder will be required to:
Provide an excellent student experience via research-informed teaching and learning.
Deliver undergraduate Early Childhood Studies modules using innovative and engaging teaching and learning methods and to supervise undergraduate dissertations.
Work as part of the Humanities team and to contribute to all aspects of its activities.
Where appropriate, to contribute to research and enterprise activities within the School.
Work as a Personal Tutor to provide appropriate academic and pastoral support to undergraduate students.
