The opportunity
The Just Love Food Company is a well-established dedicated “Free From” celebration cake manufacturing business based in Oakdale, Caerphilly. Just Love Food Company products are sold in all of the major multiple retailers and continue to drive NPD in their category and the bakery sector, recently having launched their very own “Vegan” Caterpillar celebration cake. Allergen control, and the development of accuracy, knowledge and integrity and built into the business brand values. The business is committed to collaboration and staff development and this knowledge transfer opportunity will provide an ideal platform for an affiliate to become a valued team member with the business.
Just Love Food Company are looking for a knowledge transfer affiliate to join their team immediately to support a rapid growth in retailer product lines and ongoing new product development activity. The affiliate will form an instrumental part of the team and work closely with the current technical and development manager, and the bakery team to assist the transfer for pilot products into a successful product launch for a plethora of retailer based customers. All aspects from concept to launch will be supported and will give the affiliate a fantastic learning opportunity from this established team and business.
The Cardiff Metropolitan University Food Industry Centre, in collaboration with Food Innovation Wales, has a series of fixed-term opportunities for Knowledge Exchange Affiliates to work within Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) companies in the food manufacturing sector. The knowledge transfer Affiliate will work with Industrial Supervisors in an approved partner organization (The Just Love Food Company) to support a bespoke project in a range of areas within this sector of the Welsh economy.
