The opportunity
Cardiff Metropolitan University is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Bursary & Scholarship Officer to support the activities of a busy Admissions Unit. The post holder will manage the bursary and scholarship schemes offered by the University, which will include promotion, reporting and evaluation.
The successful person should have experience in similar role and be used to working in a busy environment, providing an excellent level of service to both applicants, staff and external bodies. Broad Knowledge and understanding of Higher Education Admissions and the Student recruitment process is preferred as well as student finance.
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication, and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. Attention to detail is a key requirement for the post.

Applicants must have experience in a similar administrative role in order to assess eligibility and award bursaries and scholarships. Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse and manipulate data is required.
Applicants must be well organised and have a methodical approach with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience of managing and monitoring budgets is also required. As well as experience of reviewing processes and procedures for making recommendations for improvement.

Educated to degree level or equivalent or substantial experience in a similar role.
